TIME FOR CHANGES Episode 1: What does that actually mean?

As much as we want to, there are things we cannot change. But we can change ourselves – our behavior and/or our mindset. Today.

How to improve our quality of life by changing our mindset and by learning to read life:

 

Example


Whenever something doesn’t work out the way I have imagined it to be or I have planned it, I could see it as something negative, I could get angry or upset, I could become desperate, or I could even take it as a confirmation of ‘Life is against me’.

 

Different mindset


I could also think: What if life was for me? What if things are actually happening in my favour? Even right now, at this very moment.

If the fact that things do not turn out the way I had planned is much better for me in the end, protects me, moves me forward, offers more opportunities for me, maybe even leads me to my dream partner, dream job, or dream whatever. Even if I cannot see it right away or cannot connect the dots at first.

Who am I to think I know better?

For some people this mindset of ‘Life is for me’ may be perceived as a ‘whitewash’ and frowned upon as such. This implies that the (previous) negative view actually does reflect reality. But how do I know that I do not ‘blackwash’ life with my own negative perspective? Because it is not reality either but my very subjective evaluation of the situation.

 

Suggestion


Here is what you could try: Every time you get angry when life doesn’t correlate with your plan, take a step back to reflect and use your creative mind to come up with ideas what this situation could be good for. Don’t be surprised if after some time not only your mood is getting better, but you might even enjoy learning to read life. And receiving the gifts life has for you.
